"Yo-ho-ho-ho-ho . . ."
Campers in Choir learned different voice exercises and many new skills
from Seth. On Sabbath they performed several numbers for two
local churches.
Of
course, the young people didn't spend all of their time in classes!
They also were able to participate in fun activities such as the
Obstacle Course. Here Nathan, Kaleb, Timothy, and David learn about faith
as they follow counselor Craig in the Blind Walk. Watch your
step!
One
of the campers' favorite times of the day was mail call. After supper
Mr. Kim or Mr. Ted would distribute the day's mail. Here Mr. Kim hands a
camp-o-gram to Leif.
Mr.
Ted wondered what was in this package!
Don't
forget to say, "Here, Sir!" when your name is called! Jolene
demonstrates a proper push up.
One
of the highlights of the week is the Friday evening Friendship Feast.
Everyone enjoys dressing up for the theme (this week it was Hawaiian)
and getting to sit with people that they haven't sat with all week.
Mmmm... the food was always delicious!
One
of the most special things about camp is the counselors. They were all
chosen for their Christ-like characters, cheerful personalities, and
love for young people. They were an excellent group.
YD
Camp would not be YD Camp without Mr. and Mrs. Evert! From teaching
classes and doing much of the planning, to doing behind-the-scenes
work and keeping everything running, their contributions were much
appreciated by everyone.
