While
considering a new place for the children's meetings to take place,
this place is brought to our attention. It is two blocks from where we
are staying. At first glance, it doesn't look promising. Rubbish is
everywhere. It would take several truckloads to get rid of it all.
But, we decide to pray about it and give it a try.
With
the help of half a dozen men from the El Nido church, the place is
transformed! The Lord answers our prayers just in time!
The young people assigned to Child Evangelism fill all the roles for
the meetings, from taking attendance to leading song service, and from
telling the Bible story to sharing personal experiences. God uses the
young people in ways they never thought were possible. But as one of
their songs goes, we "can do all things through Christ which
strengtheneth me" (Philippians 4:13).
There
are several small villages outside of El Nido. It is too far
for people from these villages to walk
to the meetings in town and most don't own any form of
transportation. So every night, three or four busses and jeepneys
head out to these villages to pick up people. And, they are always
jam— packed, inside and out.
The
adult meetings are held in the open plaza, right in the middle of
town. God blesses us with perfect, starry nights. We only miss one
night because of rain. But, we know that God knows what is best.
The Lord blesses Janalin with power and persuasion as she presents Bible
truths at the adult meetings using the New Beginnings evangelistic DVD
program.

The smiles from the audience tell us that they appreciate our efforts.
