The
animals are exotic too! This monitor lizard is at least four feet
long. Although it has long claws, it uses it's powerful tail to fend
off invaders.
Some
of us wonder if this "handout happy" lizard would have liked to knock
over the sign
with his tail!
We
find out that the monkeys are very curious and mischievous. They also
seem to recognize when a person is nervous about them as one of the
girls finds out! It turns out they only want the shells she is
carrying in a plastic bag!
At the end of the Monkey Trail, we take bancas into one of the longest
underground rivers in the world. The Underground River is a UNESCO
World Heritage Site.
This monkey's sad face reflects how the group feels—a little sad! Our time
in the Philippines has come to an end. But, it is an experience none of
us will ever forget.
We hope you can be part of
next year's Mission Experience!
