This
is the little SDA church in San Vicente. Although it's small and
simple, even lacking glass in the windows, the people that fill this church on Sabbath are warm and loving.
Every
Sabbath the sanctuary filled to capacity, and people had to sit on
bamboo benches outside and listen to the services through the open
windows.
We
learned that when joining the Filipinos for their Sabbath School and
church service you'd better be prepared to be included in the program. We always had to be prepared to lead song service,
present special music, or even teach Sabbath School without warning!
The
children that came to Sabbath School were always very attentive and
interested in what was being said.
Kylie
and Sarah got recruited to lead song service in the primary class. The children were always very
excited to learn new songs.
Since
the
church did not have an inside restroom, we used this pit toilet only if we absolutely had to!
