It's no time to be scaling the work back! Here at Young Disciple, we're moving forward! Just this quarter, we've expanded Young Disciple magazine into 24 pages in full color—to more effectively reach more youth—and connect them with Christ! We're also making plans for another Mission Experience. And the work of translating Truth 4 Youth into Spanish, French, and Swahili is moving forward!

We can't do this work without you. It always cheers us to see others pitching in to help God's YD ministry. Some volunteer their time; others donate funds; and many pray for us! Together, the work goes forward with even greater power!

Youth Bible Camps

Another successful summer Young Disciple Youth Bible Camp program has not gone down in history!
We wish you could have heard the campers' testimonies on Saturday night. Dozens came forward to commit their lives to Christ!
Here's a sampling:

• I now know the importance of having Jesus as a friend. I have decided to give my life to Jesus.

• At YD Camp, I gave my heart to God 100%—and I’m going to stay that way.

The camp program costs more per camper than is covered by camper fees. Contributions make up this difference. There is always a large, ongoing need in this area. You can make a difference in the lives of young people by contributing. Please consider how you can help! Above all, uplift these youth to God!

With more and more campers attending Young Disciple Youth Bible Camp, our "sanitary storage facilities" (SSFs) are getting lots of use. Often the lines behind the SSFs are so long that the last person must be late for the next activity. We simply need more facilities to accommodate our growing needs! As you can imagine, this is not optional. We can meet the increased need by adding four more simple outhouses.

Cost: 4 outhouses at $375 each. Total: $1,500

Camp Cabins

Due to our own expenses from running Young Disciple Youth Bible Camp, we are not able to offer financial aid to campers who need help raising camp fees. Your contributions to this fund will help sponsor campers who would not otherwise have been able to come have a life-changing week at camp. Who knows? They may meet you in Heaven and thank you for the gift that brought them life!

Philippines Evangelism

Plans for another Mission Experience are now underway—and it looks like a great group of missionairies! We are planning an evangelistic series in Palawan during March, 2007. Please keep the preparations in prayer, as communication between countries can sometimes be difficult! Also pray for the Holy Spirit to go before us and prepare the hearts of those who will be attending the meetings. And pray for the young missionaries as they prepare their hearts for this training experience, and raise the funds to be able to go!

Expenses for YD's mission work in the Philippines are not completely covered by the funds raised by the mission participants. For example, we support layment to do ground work and follow up; purchase Bibles to give to those who faithfully attend the meetings; rent chairs and equipment for the meetings; etc.! Equipment & Office Production

As computers and other equipment wear out or become obsolete, we must replace them. We also must keep the lights on, run payroll, pay the printing bills, and keep supplies on hand! As a supporting ministry, we rely on the contributions of people blessed by our work. If you would like to help us with our day-to-day expenses, mark your donation "Where Needed Most."

Imagine caring for 35 acres devoted to a summer youth camp and a year-round office. The "grounds" department has enough work to keep very busy! The tasks include building new roads, clearing tent sites, running underground utilities, plowing snow, and bringing in 12 cords of wood each winter for heating! For the past six years, we have managed with our old Chinese tractor. But after its final break-down we have had to replace it.  We are purchasing a 50 hp tractor that is adequate for our needs. We have borrowed money at a reasonable rate of interest to meet this need. Now we need to pay off this loan of $712 monthly.

Total needed: $16,000 ($712 monthly payment)

Camp Kitchen

We praise the Lord for the donation of a used commercial doublewide trailer to be used for a camp kitchen! The camp cooks have been using this facility to make YD's famous, fabulous camp meals for two summers now—praise the Lord! Thank you to all who have helped with this project.

Evangelistic Literature

This December, we received a letter from a man in Ghana who is distributing Young Disciple magazine and The Great Controversy in as large of numbers as he can supply! He says, "So many people are coming to get your literature. Many repent and get baptized. Our small office is very busy. People are coming as if I give them a lot of money, but it's the Word of God! They come asking questions and then repent from their sins. Your literature is a net for fish!"

We have other similar requests for literature—many more than we can fill. In fact, the success of this program depends entirely on the generous donations of our supporters. Perhaps your family or church would like to make a project of sending literature to this man and others like him!

Power to the Camp Pavilion

Thank you to all who have made it possible for us to have electricity running directly to the pavilion! The lights are on—and no more noisy generator running in Deep Bible Study class, or during choir practice!
